How it works

A little space to reflect

Some days, knowing where to begin is the hardest part.

  1. Step 1 of 3

    Start with a question

One a day, with more on the subjects you choose.

  2. Step 2 of 3

    Answer in your own words

Write it or say it out loud, then pick the mood that fits.

  3. Step 3 of 3

    Solace writes back

A short, personal reflection on what you’ve written, kept with your entry in Your Space.

Voice or text, just speak your truth

Sometimes it helps
to say things out loud

Tap the microphone and talk. Solace turns your words into text you can read over and edit before you save.

Recording an answer out loud: a timer, a waveform and the words Listening, take your time.
Growth you can see

See what comes up
over time

Every entry gets a reflection. Then, week by week, Solace looks back across what you’ve written and tells you what it noticed: the moods, the themes, the things that keep coming up. Over weeks, months or a year, you start to see the shape of your own growth.

A saved entry opened in Your Space, with the short reflection Solace wrote beneath it.

Questions

A few things
you might wonder

For more about how your data is handled, read our privacy policy.

Can I turn reflections off?

Yes. Turn them off in Settings and Solace becomes a plain journal: you can still write, save, edit and reread everything. This stops new AI processing, though it can’t recall anything already sent. The privacy policy explains how reflections are processed.

How many reflections do I get?

Free includes one personal reflection a day, on your first entry. Premium gives you up to 20 a day, plus weekly, monthly and yearly reflections. You can write as much as you like on either.

Can a reflection be wrong?

Sometimes. A reflection offers another perspective on what you wrote, and it can misread things or miss the point. Treat it as a thought to consider, not an answer.

Can I speak instead of typing?

Yes. Tap the microphone and speak your answer. Your words become text that you can read over and edit before saving to Your Space. Solace uses speech recognition to do this; the privacy policy explains how audio is processed.

What if I miss a few days?

Nothing happens. There are no streaks to keep and nothing to catch up on. Your entries will be there whenever you come back, whether it’s been a day, a week or longer.

Is Solace therapy?

No. Solace is a companion for personal reflection. It gives you somewhere to put your thoughts and look back on them, but it does not provide therapy, diagnosis or medical care. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency service or a crisis helpline.

Is there an Android version?

Solace is for iPhone only right now, and needs iOS 18 or later.
